A
midsummer day on a Dutch beach. Deserted in a way one hardly ever sees it in
this overcrowded country. So we went for a walk of some 20 kilometres, getting quite
wet in the process, enjoying the sound of the breaking waves, the protests of
the sea gulls who enjoyed having the beach all to themselves. The next day,
that is today, it was very sunny and warm, till the early evening when clouds
gathered and the rain came down. At least I need not water my plants. That is
Holland for you
